UserGate Proxy Firewall is a full-scale UTM solution which enables you to ensure integrated security of the local network, control general internet access and launch of web applications, create and maintain VPN connections, filter unwanted and dangerous resources, manage band width and create virtual networks. The first version of the sixth generation was released in November 2012.
When working on UserGate Proxy & Firewall 6.1 special attention was given to increased efficiency of database operations under heavy load. The use of new algorithms for processing high volumes of information has enabled us to increase the process speed significantly.
The updated installation package allows working with a VPN client as a service. Thus, creation and maintenance of secure connections (VPN tunnels) is now possible without requiring administrator rights. The si.exe application has undergone significant changes. The program now provides more detailed and informative reports for tech support communications than before.
The presentation of product settings in the administration console has become more convenient in the new version of the UTM solution. The developers have also taken into account user feedback that has been collected by the technical department. In particular, significant attention has been paid to product fail-safety and efficiency.
UserGate Proxy & Firewall 6.1 is localized for en, de, ru, fr (new), and Spanish (new).
